Bracknell Forest Local Involvement Network (LINk)

About LINks
From April 2008 the Government has changed the way local people are able to influence health and social care services. A Local Involvement Network (LINk) has been established for every Local Authority area that has responsibility for providing Social Services.
LINk are an independent network of individuals, organisations and community groups who work together to improve local Health and Social Care Services. The job of the LINk is to find out what people think works and what doesn’t within local services.
The LINk will:
- Give everyone a chance to say what they think about local services - what is going well and what is not so good
- Give people a chance to check how care services are planned and run
- Feed back what people have said about services so that things can change for the better
Your LINk is for the community, it doesn't represent the Government or health and social care providers; it represents Bracknell Forest residents. So if you have something to say about your experience of health or social care, ideas for improvements, or suggestions for changes then make your voice heard.
It's really easy to get involved in any way that suits you - at times that suit you.
The LINk is funded by the government, but sets its own agenda. Bracknell Forest Council has appointed Help and Care as their 'Host' organisation. The role of the 'Host' is to facilitate and support the development of the Bracknell Forest LINk. It will also work in partnership with the LINk, helping it to carry out its policies and plans.
We are committed to representing the needs of the whole community.
You can contact your LINk through the dedicated support officer Emma Austin, Development Officer for Bracknell Forest - see contact details on the right.
