If you are an employee, an employer or someone seeking work, there are a number of useful websites that you can visit for information and advice:
- Department for Work and Pensions (disabled people and carers) - Responsible for a range of benefits and services for people who are sick or disabled, and their carers.
- DirectGov (disabled people) - Advice on looking for work, work schemes and programmes, support while in work and employment rights.
- Disability Rights Commission - Gives advice and information to disabled people, employers and service providers
- Disabled Workers Co-operative - Database of skilled disabled workers.
- The Foundation for People with Learning Disabilities - Information on employment from the largest website on learning disabilities/difficulties in the UK.
- The Mental Health Foundation - Contains a list of resources on employment, unemployment and mental health.
- Jobcentre Plus - Diversity - Information for employers on the range of available services to support them in recruiting and retaining people with disabilities.
- Jobcentre Plus - Disabled People and Carers - For people with disabilities, health conditions, or serious injuries, and carers, who are unable to work, looking for work, or may be looking for work in the future.
