Carers

Carers are relatives, friends or neighbours who regularly look after someone without being paid. Carers may be adults, children or young people either living with the person they care for or somewhere else.

If you provide regular and substantial amounts of care for someone receiving services from Bracknell Forest Social Services, we can offer you a separate carers assessment of your needs and circumstances.

Depending on your needs and circumstances we can:

  • arrange advice and information about helpful local resources and organisations

  • arrange short term care (respite) for the person you care for at home to give you a break from caring

  • put you in touch with other carers

  • take into account your needs when assessing or reviewing the person you look after

The Carers Information Pack provides useful information to carers in Bracknell Forest.

If you would like to request a carers assessment, or if you think you might qualify for some help, then contact us using the details provided on the right.
