The current economic climate has affected the housing market and in turn caused problems for people wanting to get onto the housing ladder.

Residents are now able to take advantage of a Council-run scheme to get a home of their own.

The scheme works by the Council offering families a mortgage of up to 95 per cent of the market value of a home they’d like to buy – the other five per cent is paid as a deposit by the family.
