We need to know their name. We don't need to know yours.

Crimestoppers is a way of talking to the police informally and without telling them who you are. The information they receive is passed on to other police officers who act upon it. Since being introduced in this country, it's been highly successful in helping to solve serious crimes.

How does it work?

You just phone 0800 555 111, anytime at all.

Your call is free from anywhere in the country and the person you talk to will be understanding and informal.

You don't have to give your name. All you have to do is give your information. If it results in an arrest and charge, you can rest assured that no one will know who gave the police the information.

If your information leads to an arrest and charge for violent crime, you could get a cash reward and even this will be paid without you ever revealing your identity - to anyone.

So if you're fed up with the crime around you, help stop it.
