What we provide
We provide copies of marriage certificates where the marriage occurred in our district.
How to apply
You can request copies of a marriage certificate using our marriage certificate copy online form.
Alternatively you can call us with the marriage details and a credit or debit card number.
Standard and Premium Services are available for the issue of copy certificates. See the general information about copy certificates page for more information about delivery/collection options.
Please note that once the certificate has been posted, it is no longer the responsibility of the council and all claims for missing items should be addressed to Royal Mail directly.
What you will need
The information required to request a copy certificate is the:
- date of marriage
- place of marriage
- names of both parties prior to the marriage

The register office is open Monday to Friday 9.30am to 4.30pm (excluding Bank Holidays).
