A successful Christmas at The Lexicon

A christmas tree and shoppers in The Lexicon town centre

Visitors to The Lexicon during the Christmas period increased by 10% in 2023, compared to the same period during Christmas 2022.

Recent figures from ShopperTrak showed that Bracknell town centre performed better than any other town centre in the South East, including in London, which remained the same as the previous year.

More than 20,000 people visited the main activities on offer in The Lexicon - The Glow Room and The Light Pool. Almost 80,000 people walked through the giant bauble on The Avenue.

Cllr Paul Bidwell, executive member for economic development and regeneration said:

“It’s fantastic to see The Lexicon perform so well. It is especially heartening when compared to the rest of the South East. This success reflects the hard work The Lexicon team has put into delivering a great shopping and leisure experience.

"With events that celebrate our community, the town centre remains the heart of Bracknell Forest and I can’t wait to see it go from strength to strength.”

The Lexicon also supported Bracknell Food Bank during the festive period, with visitors donating:

  • 300 advent calendars to local families
  • £2,000 from The Light Pool
  • 70 tickets to The Glow Room

There are lots of events planned for this year so keep an eye on The Lexicon website for updates.
