Thames Basin Heaths Week
Discover the wildlife and beauty of heathland in this week-long celebration of the Thames Basin Heaths. Events include:
- guided heath, bird and insect walks
- history talks
- arts, crafts and filmmaking
- dog training
- Wildfire Roadshow with Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service
Runs from Saturday 25 July to Sunday 2 August 2026. Booking is required for some events.
Individual walks and talks from rangers
Organised groups can request a ranger to lead a walk or talk about a site or activity managed by our Parks and Countryside Service.
The availability of rangers is limited and targeted towards local community groups.
The cost is £27 per hour. Contact parks and countryside for more information.
