Parks Photographic Competition 2016
This year's competition theme celebrates our borough's wonderful trees.
Trees are an important part of our landscape and wider environment, providing oxygen, a habitat for wildlife, shelter, shade, beauty, and a timber source. During their long lives, trees filter the air and absorb the carbon emissions of transportation and industry improving health and quality of life for all those within Bracknell Forest.
There is plenty out there for you to get snapping with forests and woodland accounting for at least 20% of land cover within the borough. We're keen to see your photos, which could be of small copses to large coniferous forest plantations, historic parkland trees and urban/street trees.
Photos must be taken by amateur photographers and be taken within Bracknell Forest Borough. Please refer to our full competition terms and conditions. The closing date is 5pm on Monday 31 October 2016.
Individual walks and talks from rangers
Organised groups can request a ranger to lead a walk or talk about a site or activity managed by our Parks and Countryside Service. Please note, however, that the availability of rangers is very limited and usually targeted towards local community groups. The cost is £23.50 per hour (£19.58 excluding VAT). For more information please contact us.
