Pavements - parking obstructions
If vehicles are parked on pavements and there are waiting restrictions (yellow lines) adjacent to the pavement then the council's enforcement officers can issue a parking ticket. Restrictions cover the full width of the highway, which includes the pavement.
Where there are no parking restrictions the police may be able to take action if the parking constitutes an obstruction.
You can report vehicles that are obstructing pavements and driveways to the police by using their non-emergency telephone number 101 or by reporting online at the time of the offence.
