A personal search is an inspection of the Local Land Charges Register. This can be carried out by anyone. The council also provides a one-stop shop facility.

Please be aware that when you make a request to inspect the Local Land Charges Register you will be provided with data as it is produced by our system. Should you require assistance to interpret the information or require a more timely visit to our offices, please see the information below covering our assisted search and one-stop-shop services.
Information for personal searchers
You can book to conduct a personal search by appointment on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays between the hours of 10.30am and 4pm using the contact details below. Please book your request at least 48 hours in advance and send us an appropriate property address and site plan to which the search relates. The fee is 25p per page of the register.

It is the responsibility of the person carrying out the personal search to identify the land/property and to make notes of any information held on the register. Please note that the council does not have an obligation to answer any supplementary enquiries when a person is making a personal search.

Assisted search service
We are pleased to be able to supply a copy of the Land Charges Register, collated and checked for accuracy by our knowledgeable team. The cost of this service is currently £22 and includes the cost of photocopies.
One-stop shop at Bracknell Forest
The Local Land Charges Section provides a one-stop shop facility for personal searchers where all information requested will be collated into a convenient tailored report so that you don't need to contact individual sections of the Council.
To use this service, please complete the relevant tick box form below. The charge for each item of information is listed on the form. We aim to provide this information within four working days. The form should be completed and posted or emailed to the above address. Payment can be made when collecting the information from the Land Charges Section over the public counter by cheque or cash.
