Pest control

The council provides services to treat rats, mice, fleas, wasps and bed bugs. The council has a wide range of advice leaflets to assist residents and businesses in the prevention and treatment of pests.

The pest control information leaflets listed below give details of some of the more common household pest problems and also give some advice to assist in the prevention and treatment of these pests.

Fees

Residents who are in receipt of a Department of Work and Pensions income-related benefit are entitled to a reduction on the fee. To be eligible for this reduction, the relevant benefits are Income Support, Income based JSA, Guaranteed Pension Credit and Employment Support Allowance (income related). 

Please make every effort to ensure that you are home for your appointment as you may be charged if the pest control operative is unable to carry out the requested treatment.
