The council's Agents' Forum is set up so agents who regularly submit planning, tree and building regulations applications can get together with officers for open discussion and to share information. The forum meets twice a year on Teams and all agents from those working at large consultancies down to individuals are welcome to attend.
Subjects for discussion have included:
- updates on staff and other changes at the local authority
- trees
- changes to the building regulations
- any government changes to the planning legislation
- submitting valid applications
- involvement of Sport England in planning
- changes in national planning policy
- pre-applications
- community infrastructure levy (CIL)
While not a forum to discuss individual cases, attendees have the opportunity to provide feedback to service managers on our planning and building regulations services and highlight any general issues. We will also update agents on any changes to service or service improvements that are coming up.
