Business Rates are payable in ten monthly instalments in a complete financial year. Payments are due on the first day of each month between April and January. However, the number of monthly instalments is reduced as the year progresses. In some circumstances there may be only one instalment, such as a closing demand to the date the property is vacated or sold, or a demand issued after 31 December in any financial year.
We recommend that you pay by monthly direct debit. There are many advantages of this method of payment.
