Section Two of this Programme contains details of additional modular training workshops delivered by Bracknell and Wokingham College. These courses are part of our Training Programme and are aligned against the National Occupational Standards for Children’s Care Learning and Development and can be used as stand-alone workshops or utilised towards a qualification.

How do I book a course online?
We recommend that you apply for a place as early as possible, particularly if it is a high demand course eg. Paediatric First Aid. Please note that in some cases it may be necessary to limit the number of places per setting on some courses.
Priority will be given to applicants working in early years and childcare settings in Bracknell Forest. Places will only be offered to other delegates (eg. delegates working in other areas) if spaces are available.
Please read the course information carefully ie. the venue, cost, your suitability for the course etc. prior to completing your application. If applicable, please ensure that you have been given authorisation to attend.
A deadline date for course bookings is given on each course information sheet. Applications will be dealt with in order of receipt, but occasionally priority will need to be given to those who require specific training to satisfy Ofsted registration standards.
When you have searched for relevant course(s) and have made your selection(s), follow the on-screen instructions to book your place, ensuring that you have indicated whether you have any special requirements.
You will receive an email confirming your request for a place on a course. Please do not reply to the email address on your booking confirmation email, as it is an automatically generated response. This email is an acknowledgement only and does not confirm that you have been allocateda a place on a course.
A letter of confirmation will be sent to all successful applicants to the address supplied. (Please note that your place on a course may not be confirmed until after the course bookings close date has passed).
When courses are oversubscribed, applicants will be notified and placed on a reserve list for that date, and will be advised if a place becomes available. Reserve lists will not be automatically carried over to the next available course.
When you attend a course, it is essential that you sign the course register and complete the evaluation form provided by the course tutor. All participants on training courses will receive a Cerificate of Attendance, provided they have signed the course register. These will normally be posted after the course is completed.
How much will a course cost?
Courses offered in this programme are heavily subsidised so are offered at discounted cost, and many are offered free of charge. Full course costs and discounted course costs (where applicable) are given on individual course information sheets.
If it will be difficult for you to meet the cost of attendance on an inset short course, and this would cause difficulty in meeting your Ofsted Registration requirements, we will consider applications for an additional course cost discount. Applications must be made in writing prior to booking as you will need an authorised Course Application Form. Applications will be considered on an individual basis. Please contact Sue Leeden on 01344 353100 (sue.leeden@bracknell-forest.gov.uk) for further information.
How do I pay for courses?
