Welcome to the Education ICT SIMS Training Page for SIMS software courses and Online Booking
Downloads available on this page include the most recently published training booklet and links to notes of interest for School Administration staff.
New for this year is the Online Booking area which is being used exclusively for Education IT Courses for the first time. We are hoping to receive the majority of our training bookings online in the future to tie in with the Borough’s e-government strategy and reduce the number of paper applications dealt with by the Education Centre.
Please browse the training booklet, available for download on the right of this page. When you have selected the course you wish to book on, and have obtained consent to apply in accordance with your school procedures, please read the “Terms and Conditions of Booking Education ICT SIMS Training Courses” below. Please click on the 'I Accept' button below to make the training application and proceed to the Online Booking area.
You will need to refer to your logon details and 'using Training Manager Online in Schools' guidance notes for instructions on how to use this system.

Terms and Conditions of Booking Education ICT - SIMS Training Courses
Charging for published courses
Training provided by the SIMS support team is included in the Admin Education ICT SLA. Schools that have bought back into this SLA are eligible to attend the published courses without further charge, subject to the conditions below.
Charging for On Site training
We are able to offer onsite demonstrations and “hands off” training for a minimum of 5 delegates. Please telephone Education IT to discuss your requirements. There may be a charge for this.
Cancellation
A cancellation charge of £15 will be levied for all applications that are cancelled less than 7 days before the course start date, or where a delegate does not attend the course without prior arrangement.
Available places
Places are limited to two per school unless there are spaces available after the closing date.
On some popular courses one place per school will be offered initially. This will be indicated in the pre course information section of the on-line booking process and in the training booklet. Further places may be available after the closing date. Contact the Education Centre for availability.
