The transfer of housing to Bracknell Forest Homes from the Council took place in February 2008. Bracknell Forest Homes is the not-for-profit housing association set up to own and manage the 5,600 properties.

The transfer means tenants will benefit from £61 million major improvements to their homes and the housing service.

The Council retains a strategic housing function, which includes the housing register, waiting list and allocations.

In order to be considered for a home, the first thing you need to do is to get on the Council housing register. If you are succcessful, Bracknell Forest Homes housing association will then provide you with your home, collect your rent and do repairs.
