Recycling sites

There are 39 public recycling sites located throughout the borough. The materials that can be recycled at the sites are:

  • glass bottles and jars
  • books, CDs and DVDs
  • shoes, clothes and other textiles*
  • drinks cartons
  • foil

* Textile banks can be used to recycle the following items:

  • clothing
  • handbags
  • belts
  • bed linens
  • blankets
  • towels
  • underwear
  • shoes in pairs

Please note, the above items can be recycled even if they are well worn or damaged.

Please keep the sites clean and tidy. Do not leave any rubbish or recyclables on the ground at any recycling site as this is an offence and could lead to prosecution and fines of up to £20,000.
