Roadworks information - Bracknell town centre
25 April 2016
Bull Lane - essential workEssential work will take place on Bull Lane over the next few months to enable the construction of a new junction on Millennium Way.
This junction will serve the new multi-storey car park being built to serve the new town centre development, together with a new footpath/cycleway by Garth Hill College, linking Bull Lane to the eastern side of the town centre by the new Fenwick store.
Albert Road car park will remain open as usual.
The Bull Lane work will ensure all necessary road changes can be made to Millennium Way so the £240m regeneration of Bracknell town centre can progress, ready for a Spring 2017 opening.
Major changes will be made to three key roads around Bracknell town centre as part of the £240m town centre regeneration.
Work started on Millennium Way in August 2015. Work on Weather Way is now almost complete and work will begin on Bond Way very shortly. The work has been scheduled to keep disruption to a minimum; all three main roads will remain open throughout the work but some lane closures will be needed. The works will be carried out by Ringway.
The work to Millennium Way will create a new junction creating access to the new 1,300 space car park which will be located between the new Marks & Spencer and Fenwick department stores.
On Weather Way, the work will create access to the new delivery yards which will service the new Fenwick store and other retailers.
On Bond Way, the work will create a new taxi drop-off point adjacent to Waitrose.
