Activities for toddlers

Toddlers are always very welcome to The Look Out Discovery Centre, as there is plenty to do. Toddlers particularly enjoy the mini supermarket, and playing with bricks and dumper trucks in Build It! Other popular activities include playing with boats in the 'stream', taking pictures of their shadow, rolling balls and pushing buttons in the exhibition.

There is a special adult and toddler admission charge of £6.40 for an adult and a child under 4 during the week in Bracknell Forest school term times. The quietest time to bring your toddler is usually from 2 to 5pm, term time week days.

Toddler days

The Look Out invites parents to bring their little ones to these special days for both parent and toddlers. The price for toddler days is £7 per parent and toddler, and £1.60 for each additional toddler (up to a maximum of 3). All loyalty card holders will be required to pay an additional £1.60 per child on toddler days only. Prices are valid until 31 March 2018.

The extra activities are on from 10am to 4pm and include art and craft activities, story- telling and face or hand painting:

  • Safari adventure - 12 and 13 September 2017
  • Woodland animals - 11 and 12 October 2017
  • Dinosaurs - 14 and 15 November 2017
  • Winter wonderland - 7 and 8 December 2017
  • Space - 18 and 19 January 2018

Activity cards and discovery sheets

Parent and toddler activity cards give seasonal nature activities to enjoy in the woods with a few ideas to try at home. There are discovery sheets for children aged 3 to 5 years old. These concentrate on just a few of the exhibits at The Look Out and give ideas to do at home. The discovery sheets are linked to the early learning goals for the foundation stage.

Adult and toddler bonus card

Visit our hands-on science and nature exhibition five times and get your 6th visit free (term time only, Mondays to Fridays). Ask us for an adult and toddler bonus card on your next visit!

We look forward to seeing you and your toddler at The Look Out!
