Capital Strategy
Government plans to modernise local government require all Councils to produce a Corporate Capital Strategy and an Asset Management Plan. These are submitted to the Government each year for assessment and set out the framework within which Bracknell Forest Borough Council manages its assets and makes future capital investment decisions.
With the assets owned by the Council being valued at nearly £1bn and a capital programme of over £19m in 2002/03 the decisions made by the Council in this area are clearly very significant.
