Accept or refuse a primary school place
Primary and junior school places for September 2017
You can accept or decline your child's school place offer using the online form.
When accepting an offer you will also be asked if you wish your child’s name to remain on a waiting list for a higher preference. If you agree and a place becomes available from a waiting list you will be informed and any previous offer will automatically be withdrawn.
If you are unable to do this online, please phone Customer Services on 01344 352000.
Failure to accept the place offered could mean that the offer is withdrawn and your child won’t have a school place.
Your child has been offered a start in September 2017. If you do not wish your child to start in September but wish to delay the start then please refer our admissions to school leaflet. Please ensure however that you still accept the offer.
It is best to accept the offer you have, even if you are disappointed with it. You can still appeal the decision and put your child on waiting list for your preferred schools. If at a later date an offer can be made from a waiting list, you will be informed immediately.
The council has a responsibility to make sure that every child of school age is in education of some kind. If you choose to refuse the offer of a school place, you must contact the Schools Admissions team to let them know of your arrangements.
Please make sure you provide a copy of your child's birth certificate.
Secondary school places
You cannot currently accept or decline a secondary school place online. Please contact the School Admissions Team if you have received an offer for September 2017 entry but did not accept or refuse it.
