Citizenship ceremonies are required for successful applicants to formally attain British citizenship, and can be attended by family and close friends.
The process starts when you apply to UK Visas and Immigration for British Citizenship.
When your application is successful, UK Visas and Immigration will contact you inviting you to contact your Register Office to book into a ceremony. At the same time, UK Visas and Immigration advises and sends us your Citizenship Certificate.
On receipt of your certificate, we will write to you, giving details of our next ceremony and alternative arrangements should you require them. We will also send a questionnaire and all the details you require about the ceremony.
