Disability Access Funding
Three-year-old and four-year-old children who are in receipt of child Disability Living Allowance and are receiving the free entitlement are eligible for the Disability Access Fund (DAF).
DAF is paid to the child’s early years setting as a fixed annual rate of £615 per eligible child.
The funding is available to help childcare providers make reasonable adjustments at their setting to improve children's access to free early education. The funding cannot be used towards childcare fees.
Conditions for making a claim for DAF:
consent from the parent or guardian on the Parent Declaration form
child must be in receipt of Disability Living Allowance (DLA)
only 1 claim can be made for a child within a 12-month period
To submit a Disability Access Funding Application, please log into the portal. You need to provide a copy of the Parent Declaration and DLA award letter to submit an application.
