Council tax hardship payments
Following the government announcement on 11 March 2020, working age residents who receive support through our Council Tax Reduction Scheme will receive up to £150 towards their council tax account for 2020 to 2021.
If you recently joined the Council Tax Reduction scheme, your credit will be added to your account when your award is calculated.
If you are finding it difficult to meet your council tax instalments or need further help or advice with paying your bill, please contact our Revenues Team by emailing revenue.services@bracknell-forest.gov.uk.
Bills and mortgages
If you are concerned about managing your bills, including your mortgage, take a look at the Money Advice Service or call them on or call 0800 138 7777.
Advice and support for employees and businesses during coronavirus is available from GOV.UK - coronavirus (COVID-19): what you need to do.
Energy bills
If you are struggling with energy bills, please contact your energy suppliers as soon as you can. All energy companies are working with central government and may be able to reduce repayments on arrears, or help with topping up a pay as you go meter.
Customers may register for priority energy service if they meet certain criteria. Each energy company runs its own register so please contact your supplier if you think you may be eligible.
