EU Settlement Scheme

The EU Settlement Scheme (EUSS) deadline has passed but:

  • you can still make a late application - check on apply to the EU Settlement Scheme on GOV.UK to see if you are eligible
  • application support is still available through our grant funded organisations
  • even if you have lived in the UK for many years, you should still check if you need to apply
  • if you applied by 30 June 2021, your Certificate of Application is proof of your protected right of work, rent and access benefits and services
  • parents need to check if their children need an application - apply for your child on their behalf without delay
  • you need to keep your travel document updated on the online view and prove service on GOV.UK

Those eligible for status under the EUSS can make a late application if they have reasonable grounds for having missed the June deadline.

It is important that anyone who is eligible to apply does so urgently to protect their right to live, work, study and access benefits and healthcare in the UK.

You can find out more about the EUSS on GOV.UK.
