Harmony counselling

In life we are all faced with problems and difficulties. At times these can overwhelm us and affect our home and working lives in a way we feel is difficult to cope with. Harmony Counselling is designed to help you as an individual deal with any difficult or stressful situation which may impact on your personal or professional well being.

The counselling service is run by 2 independent, fully qualified, counsellors.

It is open to permanent or temporary employees of the council. You will be eligible for up to 6 counselling sessions and the sessions you have will be on a confidential basis. You can access this service independently on a self-referral basis. You will be asked to provide your council ID badge or recent payslip as proof.

Harmony’s counsellors will discuss cases only with the professional body who supervise the caseload and provide professional expertise and advice. The supervisors are also required to maintain strict confidentiality and will not be in contact with the council.

Harmony lets the council know how many people it is helping but does not identify them.
