Explore, investigate and have fun with science
School visits to The Look Out encourage children to explore, investigate and have fun with science, technology, engineering, art and maths.
We have over 20 years of experience of school visits from Foundation Stage, KS1 and KS2 pupils.

Shows for school groups
We offer shows for school groups, available at additional cost.
Light and sound
14 January to 5 April 2019
This show examines how we see and how we hear. It's interactive and fun.
The KS1 show will look at how light is vital for life and plant growth.
The KS2 show considers light and sound in more depth.
Bugs and beasties / Nature explorer
24 April to 19 July 2019
This show is split into 2 halves.
Part one of the session is an interactive show covering topics such as food chains, habitats and animal classifications. In part 2, we head into the forest for a bug hunt.
Backpacks are a great way to work with pupils in small groups to discover the environment outside or inside The Look Out. Using the backpacks involves a short walk, stopping at various points and concentrating on national curriculum themed activities.
Backpacks can be hired in advance and are self-led experiences. Each backpack is suitable for up to 6 pupils and 1 leader.
