Borrowing items

Our libraries provide a range of items you can borrow, including:

  • books for adults and children – fiction and non-fiction books
  • e-books, e-audiobooks and e-magazines
  • large print books
  • books on prescription including resources for those with dementia and their carers
  • spoken word
  • DVDs
  • foreign language courses
  • national and local newspapers, including access to back issues
  • popular magazines
  • music scores

Everyone may borrow up to a maximum of:

  • 20 books
  • 6 spoken word items
  • 6 DVDs (subject to classification)

Books are issued for 3 weeks. DVDs are issued for 1 week.
