Monday

Mindfulness session

Explore how mindfulness can benefit your everyday life. Discover techniques for everyday relaxation and focus.

When:

Taster sessions

From 10am to 10:45am come to our free taster session to find out about mindfulness and ask questions with Joy Devlin.

Group sessions

When: 11am to 11:45am

Cost: £2.50

If places are available, you can pay in cash on the day of the event.

Family history drop in (Bracknell Forest U3A)

Need help researching your family tree? Drop in to our friendly sessions with advice given by members of the Berkshire Family History Society (BFHS) and Bracknell Forest U3A.

The U3A Family History Group is for U3A members who are interested in researching their family history. It is intended for U3A members only.

No booking required.

When: 1:30pm to 3:30pm. The next dates are:

  • Monday 10 August 2020

Art group

Camera club

Join our camera club. Suitable for all abilities.

When: first Monday in the month, 10:30am to 11:30am

Cost: free.

No need to book. New members are always welcome.

Pilates

Join our new Pilates club. For adults of all abilities. All equipment is provided and the session is led by a qualified trainer.

When: every Monday, 3pm to 4pm

Cost: £8 per session.

Booking is required.

Knitting club

Knit and chat with other knitters.

When: every Monday, 10am to midday

Cost: 50 pence

Little Gold Stars

Literacy and numeracy at the library with qualified teacher Anika. Learn and have fun at the same time!

Suitable for children aged 2 to 5 years.

  • Monday 23 March, 10am to 11am
  • Monday 30 March, 10am to 11am

Cost: £1.50 per child

Careers advice

Bookable free sessions for adults provided by the National Careers Service. Independent professional advice on careers, skills and the labour market.

Job club

Drop in session for anyone needing help with applying for jobs or producing a CV.

Family history drop in - Berkshire Family History Society

Tai Chi

Reduce stress and improve posture with our weekly Tai Chi sessions.

When: every Tuesday at the following times:

  • 10:30am to 11:30am – for beginners
  • 11:45am to 12:45pm – for intermediates
  • 1pm to 2pm - for those with more experience

Tots time

This group is perfect for toddlers - with singing, storytelling and crafts.

Thursday

Relaxation for children - for 5 to 11 years

Reduce anxiety, sleep better, feel calmer and happier, improve concentration at school, and boost confidence with our relaxation sessions for children and teenagers.

Cost: £1.20

When: every Thursday, 4:30pm. Term time only.

Bounce and rhyme

Sessions include singing nursery rhymes and children's songs. Suitable for babies and toddlers.

Singing to young children has many benefits including:

  • developing pre-school skills in readiness for starting school
  • language development - through repetition of rhymes
  • developing listening skills and concentration
  • early literacy, language and speech skills
  • encouraging participation
  • early story telling
  • social development - meeting other families

Cost: 50 pence

When: 10am to 10:30am every Thursday during term time.

No booking required.

Pilates

Join our new Pilates club. For adults of all abilities. All equipment is provided and the session is led by a qualified trainer.

When: every Thursday, 5:30pm to 6:30pm.

Cost: £8 per session.

Booking is required.

Craft club for adults

Join our friendly group who enjoy making crafts and sharing ideas. Different projects every time!

When: last Thursday of the month, 1pm to 3pm

Cost: £5 (includes refreshments and covers the cost of materials)

Friday

Colouring club for adults

Come and join a relaxing morning of colouring and coffee. Some materials provided.

Following on from a previous course, a weekly session for those who want to continue playing chess.

Free chess lessons for improving chess players - not currently running
