Monday

Bounce and rhyme

Sessions include singing nursery rhymes and children's songs. Suitable for babies and toddlers.

Singing to young children has many benefits including:

  • developing pre-school skills in readiness for starting school
  • language development - through repetition of rhymes
  • developing listening skills and concentration
  • early literacy, language and speech skills
  • encouraging participation
  • early story telling
  • social development - meeting other families

Cost: 50p per child.

When: 9:30am to 10:15am every Monday during term time.

French conversation

Brush up on your French! Some knowledge of the language is required.

Cost: £1 charge including tea/coffee.

When: 2pm to 3pm on the second Monday of the month.

Knitting and crochet group for all levels.

LEGO club

Come and meet fellow LEGO builders to make some cool creations! For children aged 4 years and above.

When: 3:30pm to 4:30pm.

Wednesday

German conversation

When: 10:30am to 11:30 am on the first Wednesday of month.

Adult colouring

Latest way to relieve stress - colouring sheets available.

Cost: 50p for tea/coffee, 25p for colouring sheet.

When: 10:30am to 11:30am every Wednesday.

Tots time

This group is perfect for toddlers - with singing, storytelling and crafts. 

Cost: £1.20

When: 9:30am on Wednesdays. Term time only.

Thursday

Keep calm and meditate

Take an hour out of your busy schedule to find some inner peace.

No booking required.

Cost: £3 charge including tea/coffee.

When: 1:30pm to 2:30pm on the last Thursday of the month.

Library chess

Drop in opportunity to play chess with others.

When: 4pm to 5pm every Thursday.

Friday

Reminiscences

A relaxed and friendly group remembers times past and shares an interest in local history.

No booking required.

Cost: £1 including tea/coffee.

When: 10am to 11:45am on the last Friday of the month.

Coffee for carers

Join our social group for carers. Carers and those you care for can enjoy tea, coffee and cake in a welcoming library environment. Find a listening ear, compassion, understanding and a warm and friendly welcome.

Cost: 50 pence

When: 10am to 11:30am, second Friday of the month (starts Friday 13 September)

Coffee for carers is also available at different times and days at many of our libraries.

Creative writing group

Share ideas and give feedback on creative writing

Cost: £1 including tea/coffee.

When: 2:15pm to 3:30pm on the second Friday of each month.

Tai Chi - beginner

Beginner level for those new to Tai Chi. Please wear comfortable clothing.

Cost: £3

When: 12pm to 12:45pm every Friday.

Tai Chi - intermediate

Intermediate level for those who have attended previous classes at the library or done Tai Chi before.

Booking required.

Cost: £3

When: 1:15pm to 2:15pm every Friday.

Scrabble

Popular board game.

No booking required.

Cost: £1, including tea and coffee.

When: 3pm to 4:30pm, every other week.

Saturday

Parish councillors' surgery

Residents' opportunity to raise any concerns or questions with a local councillor.

When: 11am to midday on the first Saturday of each month.

Around the world with story time

Listen to the stories and be amazed by the facts! For children ages 4 years and above

Cost: free

When: 2:30pm, on the second and last Saturday of the month.

No booking required. Term time only.

Children's code club

We are doing Scratch projects from Code Club

When: fourth Saturday of the month from 9:30am to 10:30am.

Suitable for children 8 to10 years. Please book your place. Term time only.
