Activities at Harmans Water Library


Bounce and rhyme

Sessions include singing nursery rhymes and children's songs. Suitable for babies and toddlers.

Singing to young children has many benefit including:

  • developing pre-school skills in readiness for starting school
  • language development - through repetition of rhymes
  • developing listening skills and concentration
  • early literacy, language and speech skills
  • encouraging participation
  • early story telling
  • social development - meeting other families

Cost: 50p

When: 10am, every Monday.

No booking required. This session is sometimes parent led.


Colouring for adults

Adult colouring group. Templates and pencils provided.

Cost: 50p

When: 10am on the last Tuesday of the month.

No booking required.


Children’s craft session

All ages welcome but must be accompanied by an adult.

Cost: £1.20

When: 3:15 pm every Thursday.

No booking required.


Sharing and listening to each other's memories of a monthly topic.

Cost: 50p

When: 10am to 11:30am on the last Tuesday of each month.

No booking required.

Book club

Reviewing a brand new title or classic of the month.

Cost: 50p

When: 10am on the last Thursday of each month.

Carers' Social +

Join our social group for carers. Carers and those you care for can enjoy tea, coffee and cake in a welcoming library environment. Find a listening ear, compassion, understanding and a warm and friendly welcome.

Cost: 50 pence

When: 2pm to 4pm, third Thursday of the month (starts Thursday 19 September)

Carers' Social + is also available at different times and days at many of our libraries.
