About the author

Marion Dante

Marion was born in Limerick and moved with her family to Shepherds Bush when she was 11. At age 14 she entered the Salesian Sisters Convent in Surrey and 6 years later took vows of chastity, poverty and obedience.

After training to be a teacher she eventually taught in schools throughout England and in Scotland. So many changes within the church and in her family resulted in Marion suffering a nervous breakdown. The Sisters offered many a solution but she courageously left the convent in 1991 with practically nothing and no real concept of the ‘outside world’.

Dropping the Habit, Marion’s autobiography was written by way of therapy and she has since seen success with her 2 novels Searching for Love and A Love as Strong.
