About the author

Tessa Harris

Tessa began a 30-year career in journalism on a newspaper in her home town of Louth, in Lincolnshire. She quickly progressed to a London newspaper where she became women’s editor, then through an impressive list of publications including Best, Heritage Magazine, Country Homes & Interiors, The Times and The Telegraph.

In 2000 she won a screenplay writing competition run by the London Screenwriters' Workshop and the resulting screenplay was optioned by a film company. Tessa is the author of 6 historical crime novels comprising the Dr Thomas Silkstone Mystery series and three books in The Constance Piper Mystery series.
