Summer reading challenge 2019
The Summer Reading Challenge takes place every year during the summer holidays.
Starting on Saturday 13 July you can join us on a mission to read 6 books and visit the library 4 times over the summer holidays.
The Reading Agency are excited to introduce Space Chase, Summer Reading Challenge 2019. It's an out-of-this-world adventure inspired by the 50th anniversary of the first moon landing.
This year you will join our super space family, The Rockets for a thrilling mission to track down books stolen by aliens! Celebrate adventure, exploration, reading and fun!
As you read library books, you will solve clues and collect special stickers to complete your mission folder.
Can you find the aliens in time to save the day?
There’s a website to add to the fun too!
There are events taking place across the borough this summer, with writing challenges, crafts, story time, and so much more!
Visit our events page for all the details.
