A Level success for Bracknell Forest schools

Students receiving results

In Bracknell Forest schools 463 students are celebrating a very successful year in their A Level examinations following the release of this year’s results.

According to provisional results released today, the overall A Level pass was an impressive 99.06% compared to the national provisional rate reported as 97.9%.

56% of A Level and equivalent entries were at the higher (A* to B) grades and 81% of entries were graded between A* - C. These results reflect a significant increase over previous years’. The number of young people taking Level 3 qualifications increased again from 2016.

Nikki Edwards, director of children, young people and learning, said:

Congratulations to all those young people who have worked so hard to achieve these fantastic results. Heartfelt thanks and appreciation are also due to the teaching staff whose commitment to their students has been outstanding.

We are delighted that the A* to E pass rate remains above the figure achieved nationally and hope our young people achieve their future aspirations.

Cllr Gareth Barnard, executive member for children, young people and learning, said:

I am delighted to congratulate all the students who have achieved success in their A-level and other sixth form examinations.

I am proud of the hard work and dedication of staff in our schools. I wish our young people every success for their chosen career paths.
