Our transformation programme continues to make it easier and faster than ever to get in touch with us.
Residents claiming housing benefit or local council tax discount can now do so online, thanks to the launch of BFC My Benefits. BFC My Benefits also means you can tell us about any changes to your circumstances online and access information in just a few clicks of a button.
This is the last stage in providing all our welfare and housing services online, with BFC My Advice and BFC My Choice already providing residents assessments and advice on housing options for their individual circumstances.
You can access your benefits account on your computer, tablet or smartphone. If you don’t have your own device, you can use one of the computers at our Time Square office or in your local library.
If you are receiving housing benefit, you should have already received a letter explaining how to set up a My Benefits account. If you haven’t received one, or if you need help, please get in touch with your housing case worker.
These changes mean we are able to reduce costs in printing and postage, helping the council to save money without reducing the service you receive.
