The new all-through school project in Bracknell Forest reached another significant milestone on Wednesday 4 July when the school facilities were officially handed over to King’s Group Academies.
The construction of King’s Academy Binfield commenced in August 2016 and the school, constructed by Mace and sponsored by Bracknell Forest Council, remains on schedule to open in September 2018. A pupil induction day took place on Thursday 5 July.
Cllr Gareth Barnard, executive member for children, young people and learning, said:
"It was fantastic to see how much the project has progressed since the last site visit. Over 1,800 pupils will have access to outstanding teaching and facilities, giving them the best possible start to their education. Now that the school is officially handed over to King’s Group Academies, the countdown has begun to the momentous occasion of the opening in September.”
