The Lexicon is to host its first ever student event on Thursday 27 September 2018, in conjunction with Bracknell Youth Council.

Bracknell Youth Council is an elected group of young people, from secondary schools across the Borough that meet regularly to discuss issues affecting them both locally and nationally.

Darren Berry, targeted youth worker, at Bracknell Forest Council, said:

“We are delighted to be collaborating with The Lexicon on this special evening for students. Local young people very much want to feel part of the town centre and this is a great way of achieving this aim.”

In addition to plenty of retailer discounts on the evening visitors will be able to pick up a free bag of popcorn or candyfloss, have a go at the giant foot pool on The Avenue, or try to win the top prize in The Lexicon’s cash cube.

The cash cube, located for the evening on Eagle Lane, will test visitors’ dexterity and determination as contestants try to grab as many voucher points as they can within 30 seconds. The person who has collected the most points on the evening will be awarded with a £100 The Lexicon gift card.

Sue Boor, head of marketing at The Lexicon, said:

“As a family focused town centre, we want to ensure that we accommodate all age groups with our event programme. If the Student Night proves popular, we hope to make the event a regular feature at The Lexicon.”

Participating retailers include Superdry, Office, New Look, GBK, Office, Pizza Express, The Body Shop, Toni & Guy, Zizzi, Moss Bros and Skechers.
