The Lexicon’s Christmas celebrations start on Sunday (25 November) with an afternoon of music and entertainment to accompany the Christmas lights being switched on.
The wonderful festive fun starts at 4pm in Princess Square where the Vocalese Choir will perform before members of the Bracknell Gymnastics Club switch on the lights inside.
At 5:15pm the magical Snow King and Queen will illuminate the Christmas tree in Union Square and the rest of the lights throughout the centre.
The evening entertainment continues in The Avenue down to Bond Square at 5:15pm with performances from Spark! a spectacular LED drummer band. At 6pm there will be snow and a lightshow, finished off with a performance by the Reading Gospel Choir, at 6:10pm who are back by popular demand after performing at The Lexicon Proms earlier this year.
Throughout the evening in Bond Square, Nando’s will be handing out their beloved chicken hot wings.
Sue Boor, head of marketing for The Lexicon said:
“We are really looking forward to celebrating our second Christmas at The Lexicon. The Christmas Lights Switch on will be a great occasion for all ages to enjoy, whilst bringing some festive cheer to the town centre. There will also be a few surprises on the day!’’
From midday, there will be a chance to purchase limited edition Christmas baubles for £2 each, with all money raised being donated to The Lexicon’s charity of the year, Bracknell Gymnastics Club.
