Local runners are being urged to tie up their running shoes ready for The Lexicon Bracknell Half Marathon that takes place on 12 May 2019.
The event, which is being organised by Everyone Active and sponsored by The Lexicon, is marking its 35th year and over 1,000 runners are expected to take up their position on the start line.
The Lexicon Bracknell Half Marathon provides the perfect opportunity for experienced runners looking to set a new PB or for those with less miles in their legs a chance to hone their skills.
The entry fee is just £24 each and can be booked online.
Mark Tennant, Everyone Active Contract Manager, said:
“We’re delighted to be working alongside Bracknell Forest Council to host this fantastic event. It offers an ideal opportunity for people to test themselves in a welcoming environment.
“Not only do we want to see people tying up their laces and getting active across the 13 mile course but also for local people to mark the route and cheer on our runners on what will definitely be a great day out.”
Rob Morris, general manager at The Lexicon said:
“We are absolutely delighted to be hosting The Lexicon Bracknell Half Marathon for the second year. Last year’s event, the first in our new town centre, saw the finish line in Braccan Walk which brought an incredible atmosphere enjoyed by customers and retailers alike. We look forward to another fantastic celebration this year, welcoming runners and supporters to the start and finish line in The Lexicon on Sunday 12 May 2019.”
