The Martins Heron improvement scheme is now entering its final stages and carriageway resurfacing work is due to commence on Monday, 14 January for approximately 2 weeks. The work will be carried out overnight between 8:30pm and 6am.
Traffic will be temporarily diverted to use other routes during the closures. During the day, the current temporary traffic lights will remain in place until the permanent traffic lights are installed.
Cllr Chris Turrell, executive member for planning and transport said:
“The overnight resurfacing work brings us one step closer to the end of the scheme. This work is weather dependent so the completion date may vary slightly but every effort will be made to complete the work within 2 weeks. Thank you to motorists, residents and businesses for their continued patience during the final and most challenging phase of the London Road improvement scheme.”
