High Street car park - two week closure

Closed sign

The High Street car park will be closed for 2 weeks from Monday, 19 August in order for essential exit ramp work to take place. The car park requires complete closure during this time as there is no option for cars exiting the car park via the lower ramps while the work is taking place. The car park will reopen on Monday, 2 September at 7am and additional maintenance work will continue to be carried out for a further 3 weeks. During the closure, please park in either Braccan Walk or The Avenue car parks.

The public toilets within High Street car park will also be closed during the duration of the work. However, the lifts and stairwells of the car park will remain accessible to members of the public with the exception of the west side stairwell leading to Market Street.

Season ticket holders and surrounding residents and retailers have been contacted regarding the closure and advised on alternative parking arrangements.
