The Mayor for the Borough of Bracknell Forest, Cllr Pauline McKenzie and her consort, Roy McKenzie, welcomed friends, family, dignitaries and representatives from the Mayor’s Charity, Sandhurst Day Centre, for a Civic Service at the St. Michael and St. Mary Magdalene Church in Easthampstead, Bracknell on Sunday 22 September 2019.
The service was led by the Mayor’s chaplain Father Guy Cole and reflected the Mayor’s wish to thank those supporting residents across the borough.
The Mayor was joined by:

- Deputy Mayor of Surrey Heath, Cllr Valerie White
- Bracknell Town Mayor, Cllr Isabel Mattick
- Mayor of Sandhurst Town, Cllr Gaby Kennedy
- Chairman of Binfield Parish Council, Cllr Steve Collett
Sandhurst Day Centre is a local charity whose aim is to enable older people in the community to have access to a facility which provides for their social needs and wellbeing. This charity is close to the Mayor’s heart and residents come from all parts of the borough to enjoy the welcoming community.
The Mayor, Cllr Pauline McKenzie, said:
“It was wonderful to see everyone at my civic service and I’d like to thank the church for making us so welcome on this special occasion. It was amazing to raise £255 for my charity, Sandhurst Day Centre so an extra thank you to everyone who attended.”
