False information regarding Christmas advertisements

We are aware of false information reported in the Bracknell News regarding Christmas advertisements in Crowthorne High Street. (Bracknell News 20/11/2019) We have contacted The Bracknell News to give them the opportunity to correct their information.

We have never fined traders in Crowthorne High Street for displaying Christmas shopping advertising, neither have we banned traders from doing so.

We do have a duty to residents, businesses and road users to make sure that any advertisements on public pavements or roads are legal and positioned in a safe place and do remove anything that puts anyone at risk, but that is all.

We are happy to talk through options with any trader or trade groups wishing to secure advertising space in the borough and would urge them to contact us directly to see how we can help.
