Warfield CE Primary School (Woodhurst) COVID update

coronavirus

A small number of people within the Warfield CE Primary School (Woodhurst site) community have recently tested positive for COVID-19 and are now self-isolating.

Due to close contact tracing, a wider number of staff and students are now also self-isolating. All close contacts have been identified and advised to self-isolate.

The school is now closed to the following year groups in order to maintain safe teacher and pupil ratios:

  • year 2
  • year 3
  • year 6

Public Health England has not advised closing year groups because of confirmed cases. The year group closures are due to operational reasons and on-site safety, not the number of positive cases.

Parents and carers have been advised directly by the school of when their children should return to class.

Children in nursery, reception, year 1, year 4 and year 5 should attend school as usual, unless they have received a letter and told to self-isolate.

All children at the school’s All Saint’s Rise site should attend as usual.

Online learning will be made available for children in the interim.

Parents will be kept updated by the school. Anyone with concerns should speak to the school directly.
