With the summer holidays on the horizon, The Lexicon has today launched a competition for local children to get involved in its summer events activity.
The competition offers children an exciting opportunity to be part of a forest themed footprints activity trail during August, with the winning designs displayed in retailer windows, as well as an opportunity to win Gift Cards from The Lexicon.
Open to children aged 12 and under, the winning footprint designs will be printed onto vinyl and displayed in retailer windows across the town centre. The winning designs will also receive a gift card from The Lexicon to the value of £10.
Cllr Marc Brunel-Walker, Executive Member for Economic Development and Regeneration said:
“This summer is key to help our businesses recover from the pandemic and we need your help to do that. Let’s show that sense of Bracknell Forest community, get involved, shop local and celebrate our community. The council is working with The Lexicon to bring a giant event into the town centre this summer and look forward to sharing more details soon!”
Sue Boor, head of marketing at The Lexicon says:
“We have loved seeing so many creative entries to our art activities and installations over the past 18 months, so really wanted to involve local children again to create even more beautiful artwork for the whole community to enjoy this summer. We’re really excited to share our event plans for the holidays soon, as we look forward to welcoming everyone back to the town centre!”
The footprints entry form and template can be found on The Lexicon website. Designs can be created using crayons, felt-tip pens, paints or even a computer. The design must be the child’s own work and should be something that will appeal to all age groups. Completed entries should be emailed to email@example.com by Friday, 6 August 2021.
