A mobile COVID-19 processing unit will join the PCR mobile testing unit at Pyes Acre car park, Yorktown Road, Sandhurst. The new unit will run on designated days in September, as part of the council’s commitment to keep residents safe, and will mean attendees will get their PCR results on the same day they take their test.
Speaking about the news, Cllr Paul Bettison, OBE, Leader of Bracknell Forest Council, said:
"This is another example of how Bracknell Forest is working to allay the fears of residents as we move to the next stage of tackling the pandemic. Thanks to Sandhurst town council’s continuing support, having access to the mobile processing unit means, where previously attendees would need to wait, results can now be processed on site the same day.
"We have always been clear that testing is an important part of helping contain the spread of the virus, and Pyes Acre now provides a safe and efficient space for testing those with symptoms."
The COVID-19 PCR mobile processing and testing units will be in Pyes Acre car park, Yorktown Road, Sandhurst, GU47 9AH, between 9am and 3pm on Thursday, 16 and Friday, 17 September. They will continue to run, at the same times, each Thursday and Friday throughout September on the following dates:
- Thursday, 23 September
- Friday, 24 September
- Thursday, 30 September
