Festive fun at The Lexicon

star and Christmas decorations on a black background

The Lexicon is bringing some festive cheer with 6 weeks of twinkling attractions and family fun.

A combination of glittering lights, dazzling entertainers and sparkling treats will combine to make The Lexicon shine bright this Christmas.

In the centre of town the star of the show will be a 10 metre musical tree.

There’s a Star Trail for families to follow around the town centre, with artwork created by local school children.

If you love to post the perfect Instagram shot, check out the 2 selfie stations in Princess Square and Braccan Walk.

As part of festivities, The Lexicon is also looking for people who have been shining stars over the past year. Anyone can nominate a friend, family member or anyone that deserves a special New Year treat. Find out how to nominate someone on The Lexicon's shining stars page.

Cllr Marc Brunel-Walker, executive member for economic development and regeneration at Bracknell Forest Council said:

“We have worked hard this year with the team at The Lexicon to bring festive fun to the town centre. With COVID rates still high, all events have been designed to ensure that people can enjoy the Christmas activities while staying safe. I can’t wait to visit the ever-popular Christmas market to pick up some Christmas treats!”

Rob Morris, general manager at The Lexicon said: “It’s not quite the time for big gatherings and events just yet, but that’s not to say we can’t all get into the festive spirit this Christmas.

“With entertainers and musical acts every weekend, beautiful lights and an array of other activities, we have a festive programme in place that we hope will delight visitors to The Lexicon and support our local community.”

As an early treat The Lexicon Christmas Market, will return to the town centre on Thursday 18 November, with its picturesque wooden chalets selling an array of festive food and drink.

Shoppers can also enjoy late night shopping from Thursday 2 December, when some retailers will open at the following times:

  • Monday to Friday: 9am to 8pm
  • Saturday: 9am to 7pm
  • Sunday: 11am to 5pm

Check with shops for individual opening times. For the latest information on activities, visit The Lexicon website.
