Photo competition celebrates mood boosting places

The Bracknell Forest photo competition launches this week, coinciding with World Photography Day, which takes place on Friday 19 August 2022.

The competition is free to enter. Images must be taken in the borough and be emailed to Bracknell Forest Council by Monday 31 October 2022.

The best photo entries will win a share of a £225 prize fund, provided by competition sponsors Duncan Yeardley Estate Agents, Economic and Skills Development Partnership and Bracknell Camera Club.

Cllr John Harrison, Executive Member for Culture, Delivery and Public Protection said:

"We’ve chosen the theme to celebrate our amazing local places and how they make Bracknell Forest a special place in which to live, work and play.

"I look forward to seeing what our residents choose as their favourite mood-boosting places.”

Nick Thring, Managing Director at Duncan Yeardley Estate Agents, said:

“We want to see good examples of local places that make residents and visitors feel great or help to lift their spirits when they’re feeling down.

“Greenspaces, for example, have been important in supporting residents’ health and wellbeing during the coronavirus pandemic.

“Residents might also enjoy visiting sports and leisure centres, shops, or arts and culture venues. Please ensure you are permitted to take photos at these places.

“We look forward to choosing the best entries.”
